Kids in the backshop

Feb 6th 2007
I was at work in our backshop, except it had an extra room attached to it (open plan) There was a clothes horse with some washing on. So I started to move it to the extra room as we had a delivery coming in and we needed to make room for it.
The man who works there Jim (not his real name) comes charging in swearing telling me to move it over there, he was pulling a pallet truck with big oblong boxes on it, which seemed heavy.
I told him I was doing it except I was moving the clothes horse into the extra room as it was easier to get there.
I place the clothes horse down in the position I wanted and was making my way back when dozens of kids mainly pre-school age or slightly older were coming in and they all sat in their little groups around tables.
They were all wearing West Ham United football tops
